Biography of Bishop Motjopeni Joseph Mamabolo
Bishop Motjopeni Joseph Mamabolo was born at Rustfontein (Radikoffie) Mokiti between Munnik & Soekmekaar on the 28th of April 1949, and moved to Ga-sekgopo. He started School at Johannesburg Alexandra in 1956 to 1958. He accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour on the 15 of July 1963.
He got Married to Tjelana Elisa Mamokgere in 1972 December 25. He left Alexandra in 1975 to Sekgopo Village where he met with the late Rev Jack Ramodike Maponya. They both Worked together and he planted Assemblies of God Fellowship Church at Sekgopo in 1976. He Studied in 1979 at Witbank Bible School Theology Specialising with Sunday School Course. He received his diploma in Ministries in 1984 and he was pastoring the church that he planted from 1976 to 1986, from there he planted a church at Ga-Dikgale (Marobala) Assemblies of God Fellowship in 1986 and Pastoring it from 1986 to 2013 February. In February 2013 he ordained Pastor Alfred Mampheko to lead it ( Dikgale AGF)
In 1992 he planted a Church Moduane AGF and he ordained Pastor Christinah Motokolo to lead the church, there after the late Pastor Philip Thobakgale was ordnained to lead the church and after him Pastor Herry Nthlane was ordained to lead the church, there after in 1995 he Planted Makgoba AGF and Pastor Francinah Malowa was ordained lead the Church. In 1996 he joined World Outreach where he started preaching and visiting schools and prisons. In 2004 he planted a Church at Kotishing. In 2014/2015 he saw place where he wanted to build prayer tower at Soekmekaar. In 2015 June he was chosen to represent World Outreach during the world conference in Thailand. He Served as the trustees of AGF and Schools at Ga-Sekgopo and Dikgale. He have being a Pastor for 40 years.
In 2015 he was in the process of planting a church at Mamotintane, Early 2016 he was in the process of opening Lebaka Bible School.
He passed on, on the 16th of July 2016 after a short illness. He died just after celebrating his 53 years anniversary of accepting Jesus as the saviour of his life. He is survived by his mother Mmaselelo, his brother Solomon, his beloved wife Tjelana Elisa, his children, namely Mosibudi who is Magistrate, Pastor John who is also Engineer,Timothy who is Accountant, Tumelo who hold BTech in Operation Management, Mpho is Agriculturist , Khutso who is Currently Studying, Daugther in Law Berrol who is a Nurse and grandchildren namely Tetelo, Motheo, Rethabile and Thabang.
